Lent Day 10

The farmer plants seeds in his field. Those seeds reap a harvest much greater than what was planted. So, the following season, the farmer plants a larger field and reaps a far greater harvest. In this way, God generously provides for the farmer. So, too, in generosity. When you sow generosity into the world, you will grow in your desire to be generous towards others–you will grow in godly virtue. And that virtue will produce thanksgiving towards God in your own heart and in the world to the praise and glory of God.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, grow us in generosity. As we express your generosity through our actions this Lent season, I pray that we grow in our desire to be generous people. I pray that we would love generosity and give thanks to you in all things. And let our generosity bring thanks to God in the world around us. Thank you for always providing all we need for life and in abundance. Amen.
