The Worship of Creatures (Not the Creator)

The Apostle Paul argues that dishonoring God changes how we think and feel. The worst thing humankind could do was turn their back on God, but that’s what we did. Not only does denying God change the way you think about moral issues, but it darkens your heart. One of the greatest problems that stems from the futility of the mind is that wisdom and foolishness become inverted.

The irony is that you get what you want. God allows you to take what you want out of life - to have sovereignty over your life and to throw it all away, even eternally, if that’s what you want to do with it. But, when your heart is modeled after God’s heart, God gives you what your heart desires because your heart wants what God wants.
