The Righteousness of God Through Faith
If you merely think of faith or belief as intellectual–‘I believe in propositional truth, therefore I’m saved’–then you have no evidence of your justification. But if your faith is demonstrated in loyalty and faithfulness to Jesus, you can know you are justified.
This is your assurance of faith.
You’re perceptibly being made righteous. You can see the change in your life; your affections are changing to line up with God’s heart.
3 ways you know you are allegiant to Christ:
(1) You can see in how you make decisions that Jesus is King, not you or anyone else.
How you prioritize your time changes
How you spend your money changes
Who you spend the most time with changes
(2) You can see it in your moral values
Do you adhere to a biblical view of moral issues? Or do you compromise biblical morality to get along better with the world around you? ← that's a question of faith or allegiance
(3) You have sure hope for eternity with Christ.
Your allegiance manifests as confidence of your eternal citizenship in Christ’s Kingdom.
This is how you know that the righteousness of Christ is in you.
