Season of Hope
The hope is for God’s presence. There is no hope outside the Kingdom of God. Hope anchors us in this life. Our eternal life that has been promised anchors us so that we don’t have to get burdened by the frustrations of this world to the point that it robs us of hope. Therefore, you have strong encouragement to ‘seize the hope.’
How does the creation story give hope for life?
* Isaiah 45:18, “For thus says the LORD, who created the heavens, who formed the earth and made it: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.”
* John 1:3–4, “All things were made through him [Jesus Christ], and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.”
How does David teach us about hope for the future?
* Psalm 16:9–11, “Therefore my heart is glad and my whole being rejoices; my body also rests securely. For you will not abandon me to Sheol; you will not allow your faithful one to see decay. You reveal the path of life to me; in your presence is abundant joy; at your right hand are eternal pleasures.”
What is our hope for eternity?
* Hebrews 6:18–19, “…we…have strong encouragement to seize the hope set before us. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure…”
