Trinity only needs to mean ‘a group of three things. Referring to God, the Trinity means that God expresses himself to us as three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
There is only one God with three expressions.
Deuteronomy 6:4 “Listen, Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one.”
* The Singular God’s expression as transcendent Father
* The Singular God’s expression as the immanent Son
* The Singular God’s expression as omnipresent Spirit
Christians know the transcendent Father through the immanent Son, and although they do not see him, he is always present with them as the Holy Spirit.
