Peter is telling us today, that even in the midst of trials, to stay focused on the mission that Jesus has laid before us. God has called His people to be holy. Do not be distracted by the world. Build the kind of faith that can move mountains. The Hebrew understanding of faith is more than merely mental assent. Faith cannot be expressed apart from obedience to Christ.
